Mark Gubernik is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, with more than 25 years of experience in the financial planning industry. He has a special affinity for pre- and post-retirees who would like to plan for their financial security.
Mark is married to Lisa, his wife of 16 years, and has two girls, Melanie (14) and Amanda (10). The girls definitely keep them busy! On the weekends, you can find Mark and Lisa running from activity to activity, whether it’s driving Melanie to her cheer practice, games, or gymnastics (she’s striving to complete a back handspring on the ground!) or Amanda to her hip-hop class and rehearsals for ballet productions!
Mark plays the drums in a rock ‘n roll band called, “Mack Daddyz.” Their group plays every few months in local bars, and when he’s not playing in the band, Mark enjoys traveling. The family’s favorite place to visit is downtown Chicago, as well as Grand Cayman Islands. Of course, the girls would like to return to Disney World where they visited a few years ago and learned the tricks of how to navigate the Fast Passes. Be sure to ask Mark about saving time in line at Disney!
Mark and his family are considering getting a dog. Melanie is allergic to dogs, but her allergies seem to be able to tolerate some breeds more than others. Do you think they’re crazy for even toying with the idea given all the maintenance of a puppy? Would love input and suggestions on dogs!!
